Addressing the Need

Metro's newest communities, WestTown on 8th and Prairie View, add 166 units of affordable workforce housing to help address the critical need for affordable housing in the Eugene/Springfield area. Additionally, WestTown and Prairie View will provide residents easy access to opportunities for economic advancement and personal development through our resident services model entitled ACCESS.

WestTown on 8th Avenue (pictured right) offers 102 units of affordable housing and 9 live/work spaces in downtown Eugene. The live/work spaces offer commercial or retail space on the first floor and loft studio apartments above. We are excited to be a part of downtown Eugene and to provide attractive, affordable housing near transportation, downtown retail shops, and neighboring W.O.W. Hall. In addition to strengthening the supply of affordable housing in Lane County, WestTown on 8th contributes to downtown Eugene revitalization.
